When Steve Franke categorizes his life’s experiences, he uses the word: Enigma: He tells people he’s a simple man: enjoys the simple things in life; and yet as people come to know him, they find he’s lived, and continues living, a multi-dimensional life. A few things about this “simple” man: 25 years as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist; 30 years as Certified Financial Planner, including 10 years as Allegacy Federal Credit Union’s Chief Financial Planning Officer; and then in March 2025 leaned in to fill the gap as Davie County Arts Council’s Executive Director. “We’re stepping into a new chapter at the Arts Council – one built on listening, collaborating, and shared strategies.
